Professor Guy Marin of Ghent University, Belgium, is professor in chemical reaction engineering and directs the Laboratory for chemical technology. He is this year’s Danckwerts Lecture, and his lecture is titled “Chemical Engineering and Kinetics: A Pas de Deux of Theory And Experiment.”

Months of hard work all came down to the final two runs Sunday afternoon for competitors and their Chem-E-Cars. Cornell University beat out 2011 defending champions University of Puerto Rico. Check out the slideshow and results.
