Industry Analyst Holly Pattenden Discusses BP's Future and new CEO Bob Dudley


Holly Pattenden is a risk analyst with Business Monitor International.

She discusses the future of BP with NPR's Don Gonyea in the wake of BP's announcement that current CEO Tony Hayward is to step down and be replaced by American executive Bob Dudley in October, 2010.

BP announced the change in leadership today. Here's a bit of what they had to say about Bob Dudley:

Bob Dudley (54) is a main board director of BP and currently runs the recently-established unit responsible for clean-up operations and compensation programmes in the Gulf of Mexico. He joined BP from Amoco after the merger of the two companies in 1998. He was president and CEO of BP's Russian joint venture, TNK-BP, until 2008.
