Recently, I graduated from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in chemical and environmental engineering. During my three years of undergraduate study, I have visited many places around the world for exchange and conferences. Through these experiences, I developed my passion for international relations and began to appreciate the sense of connection among people of different nationalities.

To help people foster these connections, I established the AIChE-HKUST Student Chapter early this year and led 12 passionate committee members in running the organization. As the newly established student chapter, we strive to organize various activities focusing on professional and personal development of all students in the CBME Department. Apart from organizing self-development activities, we also serve as a way to encourage sharing and interaction between students with different backgrounds, CBME faculty members, and professional engineers.

The theme for the session 2013-2014 was "Preparation for the Future." The career talk series, chemical plant visits, and two-day sharing series were this year's highlights. With these in mind, we successfully organized activities for AIChE-HKUST Student Chapter members and CBME students, focusing on sharing and interaction between students with different backgrounds, CBME faculty members and professional engineers through various activities.

It is my great privilege to closely work with a good team of committed committee members. With their unfailing support, we arranged various activities for members and CBME students. We trust that these events were beneficial to our members and the chemical engineering field at large. Last but not least, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks again to our advisor Prof. Ka Ming NG, the CBME Department, and all our committee members, without which this session would not be successful.

Hi there! I just wanted to point out that it should be Hong Kong instead of Kong Kong and we here at HKUST would really appreciate if you could change the spelling. Thank you.
