Environmental Division Pittsburgh Service Project


Join your fellow AIChE members and the local Pittsburgh community on Sunday morning of the Annual Meeting--share a great experience protecting important ecosystems and promoting local food sourcing in our host city!

Project: Rooftop Garden Planting and Monarch Butterfly Waystation Preparation

Volunteers: No cap, estimated ~40 people.

Time: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Description: Volunteers will plant herbs at the DLCC rooftop garden for Levy Restaurants and prepare the environment for the Monarch Butterfly Waystations via the local Audubon Society. You are free to choose where you would like to apply your time and skills during the event!

Cost: This event is free!

Meeting place and directions

The project will begin at 10:30 am on the roof of the DLCC (our meeting venue).

Please wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to walk and move freely. Note that the temperature for Pittsburgh this weekend is anticipated to reach 47 degrees F.
