A Look Back as We Begin a New Year

By Douglas Clark | Comments (2)
The beginning of a new year is a great time to look back to see what's been accomplished. Since CheEncted is about to enter its second year (February 2009 was our start), we'd like to take a moment to reflect on what the last year has brought.

The year in pictures

Check out the video at right to see a fun visual summary of all that we did in 2011. Watch closely, because you're bound to see some familiar events, images, and face—maybe even your own if you attend an AIChE event! ChEnected's success relies on the many chemical engineers and other industry professionals who have taken the time to write content, and depends on the readers who contribute their thoughts and insights—and who have often become contributors themselves. Over the past two years, we've built a roster of  80 contributors who have pitched in to provide content since we began. If you're interested in joining them, please send us your information here. We also had readers from a wide variety of countries, with the top 10 being the US, India, Canada, UK, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Mexico, Pakistan, and Brazil.

The year in numbers

Here's a quick summary of what we accomplished in 2011. ChEnected Statistics Thanks for being a part of the ChEnected community—we look forward to even bigger and better things in 2012!

Keep up the fantastic accomplishment! I am grateful for the opportunity to virtually connect with other fellow chemical engineers – CheNected has been the space!

I agree, I think this is a great membership benefit and remember voting on the "where ChE's" mix it up slogan, seems so long ago…..awesome!
