Paula Hammond is a chemical engineer and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the same institute where she studied for her undergraduate degree.

Throughout her studies her passion for chemical engineering never faltered and has allowed her to become involved with a variety of projects. Her lab at MIT involves working with the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research and developing new methods for administering cancer drugs. In addition, she has worked to establish the Institute for Soldier Nanotechnology where she has helped to develop a spray coating that quickens the clotting of blood to ensure the safety of our troops.
