2013 has been a busy year for the Young Professionals Committee. Early on in the year, we attended the majority of Student Regional Conferences, speaking to students about long term involvement in AIChE and information about careers and graduate school. Now that 2014 has begun, we will once again focus on participation in the Student Regional Conferences. The dates for the upcoming conferences are posted on the AIChE website. if there is a conference taking place at a school near you and you would like to attend for YPC, please contact Jose Urquijo and Sarah Ware. We have recently completed our latest round of elections and leadership position appointments. We are very happy to welcome Sarah Ewing as our new vice chair. To learn more about Sarah Ewing, please read the post from our new vice chair. With the addition of Sarah, Kate Gawel has transitioned into the position of Past Chair.
