Wendy C. Young greatly enjoys her work as a chemical engineer and she intends to keep it that way! One of her greatest pieces of advice is that life is too short to dislike a job. And she finds that the best way to build a career you enjoy, is network the old-fashioned way: without a computer. Young is a business development manager for Chemstations, Inc. She obtained a B.S. in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1997, and her professional experience includes positions in chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and technical sales. She has been active with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) for many years, having served as founding co-chair of AIChE's Water Initiative, chair of AIChE's Young Professionals Advisory Board, and a member of AIChE's board of directors and chair of the membership committee.
