Owen Jappen is Director, Chemical Products & Technology at the American Chemistry Council (ACC) working on the Council's chemistry specific panels including flame retardants and fluoropolymers.

Owen is currently on AIChE's Public Affairs & Information Committee and formerly served as Chair of AIChE’s Young Professionals Committee and as a member of CEOC. He received the Institute’s “35 Under 35” award in 2017 and previously held various YPC sub-committee chair positions and was Chair of the Local Sections Committee. Outside of AIChE, he currently sits on the Board of Directors for the NY based Chemical Marketing & Economics, Inc.

Owen holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
