Dr. Yuhe Tian is Assistant Professor and Stuart and Karen Goodman Fellow in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at West Virginia University. She received Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University (2021) and B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University, China (2016). Her research focuses on developing mechanistic/machine learning-aided modeling, optimization, and control approaches for modular process intensification, sustainable energy systems, and safety-aware intelligent operations. 

Some of her awards include AIChE's 35 Under 35 Award, Energy & Environment Category (2026), WVU Statler Outstanding Researcher of the Year (2026), ACS PRF Doctoral New Investigator Award (2024), and FOCAPD Outstanding Dissertation Award (2024). She has served as Young Professionals Academic Liaison for AIChE Computer & Systems Technology Division (2023-2025) and Programming Chair for AIChE Early Career Community (2025-present).
