Interviews and Photos: 2016 Spring Meeting & 12th GCPS, Houston

The 2016 AIChE Spring Meeting & 12th Global Congress in Houston began on Sunday, April 10th with a joint opening reception. See pictures from the event.

Sanjeev Kapur of Apex PetroConsultants interviews Ron Corn, senior vice president of Projects & Supply Chain for Chevron Phillips Chemical. Ron discusses "mega projects" which are those that represent expenditures of $1 billion or more.

While at the Spring Meeting, AIChE's senior communications specialist Gordon Ellis had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Karl Reid, executive director of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and discuss the memorandum of understanding that the two organizations signed.

Chairperson Vanessa Allen Sutherland of the U.S. Chemical Safety Board shared her thoughts on process safety and the organization's mission, along with a nod and advice to chemical engineering students entering the working world.
