Two companies, Dow Chemical and Bayer MaterialScience, are steadily introducing new materials to give blade designers more options in the race toward 9 and 10 MW turbines.

During the Spring Meeting, AIChE YPs turned out to clean up the Harrisburg Sunset Trail. The project was also part of the Keep Houston Beautiful initiative. Check out pictures from the event here.

Recently, Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, hosted AIChE's Mid-Atlantic Student Conference. Among the activities was the regional ChemE Car competition, in which 15 colleges participated. Check out video clips of competitors and their cars.
