To fulfill one of the main goals of the 'Doing a World of Good' campaign, AIChE's Center for Process Safety (CCPS) is partnering with companies and universities to increase undergraduate understanding and awareness of process safety.
Known as the Undergraduate Process Safety Learning Initiative (www.aiche.org/upsli), this effort consists of three main components that will benefit companies, students, universities, and, ultimately, society.
The three areas of concenration are:
- Online curricula through SAChE, including newly updated cirricula launching in fall 2017
- Heightened competence at the univeristy level through faculty workshops
- Student competence through undergraduate process safety bootcamps.
